Brixham Karate club is one of the most prestegious and longest running martial arts clubs in Torbay. It was formed in 1986 under the instruction of Sensei Richard Hurd, then handed over to Sensei Dan Walpole in 2021. In 2022 the club saw the addition of Sensei Paul Richards.  We teach a traditional style of Shotokan karate that caters to all people and abilities of all ages from 5 years and above. As a club we are affilliated to the Karate Union of Great Brittan(KUGB), the largest Karate organisation in the United kingdom.We are fully insured and all instructors are DBS checked. We follow training methods and techniques that have been proven by many years of experiance, and follow a syllabus set out by the chief instructors of the KUGB.
